Abstract
In this note we present two new localities in Argentina for one of the least known armadillos in the world, the greater fairy armadillo (Calyptophractus retusus). One locality is in Formosa province, Patino department, Campo Las Delicias, and the other in Salta, Oran department, Parque Provincial Los Palmares. In addition, we discuss the validity of the type locality of the subspecies C. r. clorindae "Tapia, in the governorate of Formosa (Argentina)", which was impossible to locate.
