Abstract
The purpose of the work is to determine the stylistic features of L. Lisovsky’s piano cycle “At the dog show. Seven photos”. Research methodology: cultural-historical method used to cover the history of the cycle of L. Lisovsky, structural – to identify features of his style, musical-analytical – to analyze the cycle “At the dog show. Seven photos”, system – to systematize the identified stylistic features. The scientific novelty: the study of L. Lisovsky’s piano work was started; L. Lisowski’s piano cycle “At the dog show. Seven photos”; the piano cycle “At the dog show. Seven photos", its genre and style features and innovative features are defined. Conclusions. Genre-style influences and stylistic components are revealed: romanticism – bright ladoharmonic colors (altered chords), the essential importance of harmony in the creation of the image, genre and form of miniature as the basis of the cycle, late romanticism – a combination of genres (chorale, polka, march, polonaise, foxtrot) at the level of cycle and individual work, polyladism, formed by combining tonal and modal means, the predominance of dissonant chords and the use of functional inversion, metrorhythmic ingenuity; impressionism – color harmony, the use of stylistics of jazz genres in academic music (genre features of foxtrot, numerous septachords, altered chords, blues notes – low third, fifth and seventh degrees), phonics of chords, decorativeness and relief of musical fabric, formed by chord duplication of melodic line; modernism – the embodiment in the language of sounds of technical and cultural innovations, a new type of software. The composer’s innovation is the combination of these methods in a cyclic work and the use of a new type of software. Piano cycle “At the dog show. Seven Photographs” is an example of mastering contemporary stylistic trends for the composer and introducing them into Ukrainian music.
