Abstract
Cobalt, as CoSO4, when placed in the center of the potting container compared with uniformly mixing with all the soil, was not as toxic to corn (Zea mays L. cv. Golden Cross Bantam) grown for 21 d in Yolo loam soil of pH 6. Uniform mixing resulted in higher Co concentrations in shoots, with decreased vegetative yields and Zn and P concentrations in plants.
