Abstract

Abstract Three new metabolites, including two alkaloids, vancouverone A (1) and vancouverone B (2), one α-pyrone, 10,11-dihydroxy-citreoviridin (3), and two known compounds, neocitreoviridinol (4) and PF1140 (5), were isolated from Penicillium vancouverense YY-1 derived from gastric flora of the sea snail Monodonta neritoides. Their structures and configurations were elucidated using spectroscopic analyses. Compound 2 exhibited phytotoxicity against plant species (Lactuca sativa, Trifolium repens, Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus, and Brassica rapa var. perviridis).
