Phytoplankton of unique karst lakes (by the example of the Lake Klyuchik, the basin of the Cheboksary Reservoir)

Abstract

The features of the composition, development and spatial distribution of phytoplankton of a small highly mineralized karst low-temperature lake (Lake Klyuchik or Svyatoe Doskinskoe, Nizhny Novgorod Region) with atypically high for the forest zone (subzone of mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forests) values of water salinity are considered. The lake is characterized by an expressed ecotone in terms of hydrological and hydrochemical indicators.
