Abstract

Isolations from blighted cucurbit plants and field soil in the Nanjing area of China consistently yielded Phytophthora drechsleri. Two isolates from Cucumis sativa in Beijing and C. melo in Xinjiang were also identified as P. drechsleri, the first report of this species in the mainland of China.
