Abstract

Thirteen compounds including four terpenes (1–4), six aromatic compounds (5–10), and three flavonoids (11–13) were isolated from Viburnum chingii. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods and comparison with literature data. Among them, 1–11 and 13 were isolated from Adoxaceae family for the first time. A network of compounds-families was built, and the chemotaxonomic relevance of these compounds was discussed. The results showed that the Rosaceae and Asteraceae had a close relationship with Adoxaceae family. The research clarified the chemotaxonomic significance, and it accordingly contributed to further knowledge of the chemical diversity of Adoxaceae family.
