Introduction

The greatest invention of Almighty God are the ‘lungs’ of our lovely planet. Plants are just like the ‘treasure box’ hidden with a lot of active components that are essential for the process of developing new medicine. Medicinal plants considered as a readily available and affordable source, but they are able to synthesize diverse active compounds which are effective in controlling and treating many diseases. These active compounds are known as secondary metabolites, such as phenols, tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins and carbohydrates. Carica papaya is a tropical fruit which is one of the major fruit crops cultivated in tropical and sub-tropical zones due to its tasty and juicy flesh, other than that, the increment in demand is because of the high medicinal and nutritive value possessed by papaya fruit [1].
