Abstract

Background: Labor still requires improvement, and Pelvic Physiotherapy can be helpful. Aims: To describe the main physiotherapeutic interventions used in the monitoring of women during labor. Method: Integrative review in LILACS, SCIELO and PUBMED databases. Selected articles published in Portuguese and English, between the years 2011 and 2021, available in free texts, on physiotherapeutic intervention during labor. Results: In total, 61 articles were found and, after analysis, 24 articles were selected for full text reading. Subsequently, only 13 were included in the study. Conclusion: Physiotherapeutic monitoring during childbirth is able to increase pain tolerance, reduce the use of drugs, improve uterine dynamics, increase women's confidence and make the process more active and natural.
