Abstract

Background: The purpose of this study is to assess the physiological state of a lifeguard to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Unfortunately, there are beaches where its little dimensions, or by economic cuts, there is only a lifeguard during the workday. Then, this rescuer is responsible for an aquatic rescue and later CPR, when necessary.
