Abstract
Soybean is the main food crop in Indonesia after rice and corn. Soybean is a raw material for several foods which are a good source of fiber for the human body. Soybean productivity in Indonesia is still low at 15.24 Ku/Ha because farmers are still using a monoculture cropping system, which causes plant physiological processes to be not optimal so that growth and yields are low. One of the efforts to increase soybean growth and yield is by the intercropping system. The potential crop for intercropping with soybeans is corn because it has different physiological and morphological characteristics. This study explained the physiological aspects of plant height and number of leaves, leaf area, plant dry weight, and yield. The treatment tested were monoculture soybean and soybean intercropping with various proportions of corn population. The result showed that soybean and corn intercropping produced higher physio-morphology than monoculture soybeans.
