Physics in France

Abstract

During a good part of the school year, 1950–51, the author had the opportunity to be in Paris as a guest professor at the Sorbonne University. Chairs for Foreign Professors have been recently established at several French universities with the purpose of inviting scientists from abroad for a limited time in order to promote the exchange of ideas between France and other countries.
