Abstract

The effect of mine waters from polymetallic and cassiterite-sulfide deposits of Dal’negorskii region on the hydrosphere has been estimated by physicochemical modeling. Hypergene processes in ore bodies of the deposits lead to formation of highly concentrated mine water solutions which continuously over decades contaminate surface and ground waters, New Eh/pH parameters of equilibrium solutions over a wide temperature range (0 to 45°C), their elemental compositions, and probable composition of hypergene and modern minerals crystallizing from mine waters have been determined.
