Abstract

Phase diagrams of decane-(R4N)2[Nd(NO3)5]-aliphatic alcohol ternary liquid systems (TLS) at 298.15 K are presented. The (R4N)2[Nd(NO3)5]-C10H22 binary system is a two-phase liquid system. One of the phases is an almost “pure” hydrocarbon solvent, whereas the other one is enriched with (R4N)2[Nd(NO3)5]. TLS have areas of homogeneous and two-phase liquid solutions. One of the phases is enriched with (R4N)2[Nd(NO3)5] and n-octanol (n-butanol, n-decanol); the other one is enriched with C10H22. Using the data on the mutual solubility in (R4N)2[Nd(NO3)5]-C10H22 binary systems and TLS, as well as the equations of the NRTL model, the intermolecular interaction parameters and excess Gibbs energies (gE) for binary and ternary liquid systems along the tie line have been calculated
