Abstract

We have constructed several single-hole and double-hole rf-SQUID devices using 123-YBCO pellets. The weak links were made by mechanically reducing the area between holes drilled in the pellets. Conventional rf-SQUID electronics, developed in our laboratory, were used to study the devices at 77K. Typical flux noise levels of 6.0×10 −4ф 0/”Hz were obtained. The ratio of the responses of the single-hole to double-hole devices was measured to be 1.55 which is in good agreement with the quanum field current ratio of 1.57. The effects of the physical structure on the triangle patterns and response characteristics are reported.
