Abstract

THE annual summer meeting of the Physical Society will be held in Oxford during July 23–24. The main subject will be "Microwave Spectroscopy", including nuclear resonance. In addition, time will be reserved for a discussion on "Helium 3"and other items of topical interest. The Clarendon Laboratory will be open to visitors throughout July 24. Among the speakers will be Dr. B. Bleaney (Oxford), Dr. N. Bloembergen (Leyden), Dr. R. M. Bozorth (Bell Telephone Laboratories), Prof. J. G. Daunt (Ohio State University), Prof. C. J. Gorter (Leyden), Dr. J. H. E. Griffiths (Oxford), Prof. A. G. Hill (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Dr. C. Kittel (Bell Telephone Laboratories), Prof. R. V. Pound (Harvard), Prof. M. H. L. Pryce (Oxford), Dr. B. V. Rollin (Oxford), Prof. J. C. Slater (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Prof. J. H. Van Vleck (Harvard). Those wishing to contribute to the Conference discussion should communicate with Prof. F. E. Simon at the Clarendon Laboratory, Oxford.
