Abstract
Oral health, which includes dental health, is a condition in which the oral cavity, teeth and other supporting tissue structures are free from bacteria and pain so that they can function optimally. Oral health can be maintained by regularly brushing your teeth using a toothpaste that has an antibacterial effect. Natural ingredients that have an antibacterial effect are siwak wood and mint leaves. Siwak wood contains salvadorine, which has shown to have an antibacterial effect on cariogenic bacteria such as Streptococcus mutans. Mint leaves can be used as an antibacterial and can provide a fresh taste in the mouth. This study aims to determine the results of the evaluation of the physical quality of toothpaste with a combination of siwak wood (Salvadora persica) and mint (Coleus amboinicus L.) extracts. It is included as observational research. The physical quality evaluation results are it is a light brown toothpaste, has a mint aroma, has a slightly spicy sweet taste with a semi-solid dosage form, it is homogeneous with pH 6, and spreadability of 4.28 cm.
