Abstract

The description of the new VEPP-2000 e+e− collider now under construction in Novosibirsk is given. Two upgraded collider detectors SND and CMD-3 are intended for experiments in the available energy range 2E=0.4–2.0 GeV. The physical program includes precise measurements of the total hadronic cross section, exclusive hadronic channels, two photon physics, tests of higher order quantum elecrodynamics processes. The important item of the program is the study of nucleon form factors at the threshold in the reaction e+e− → pp, nn.
