Abstract
This paper presents a multifunctional physical model of hydroelectric power unit intended for education and research in transient process and power system stability studies at the Power System Stability Laboratory (PSSL) of TU- Sofia. The solution enables various experimental tests under different generator and motor synchronous and asynchronous states using one physical model unit. Being focused on the education the hydro power plant generator model allows easy and evident observation and representation of the processes in a laboratory safe environment.
