Abstract

As a continuation of our previous papers, we consider the problem of plastic shear generation in a deformed solid based on a multilevel approach of physical mesomechanics. We develop a method of stochastic excitable cellular automata, which allows taking into account the self-organization of configurational perturbations of various scales in the system “surface layer – its interface with the substrate”. It is shown that any plastic shear can be generated only in the zone of normal tensile stresses that give rise to inelastic configurational disturbances in a crystal as a plastic shear precursor.
