Abstract

The aim of the study is to examine the progress of physical growth and body mass index of children in Darkhan-Uul province relevant socio-economic factors , and the phenomenon of early acceleration. The findings of our research present that children living in apartments, which provide comfortable living condition and environment, are more advanced than their peers who lived in the ger district in their middle and last stages of growth. Social and economic factors, such as housing conditions and the number of family members had feasible impacts on the physical growth. Since the economic transition of the 1990s, the increase in the main indicators of the physical growth and development shows the acceleration phenomenon among the children in Darkhan-Uul province.
