Abstract

Bipolar disorder (BD) is associated with higher rates of sedentarism, metabolic syndrome, obesity and early onset cardiovascular disease leading to premature mortality. Moreover, BD is often associated with disability and deficits in general functioning associated with residual subsyndromal depressive symptoms and persistent neurocognitive impairments.
