Abstract

Field experiments were carried out on irrigated gray-brown (chestnut) soils in the territory of the Ampelographic collection garden of the Ministry of Agriculture Viticulture and Winemaking Research Institute of Ganja Viticulture and Winemaking Experimental Station. Total absorbed bases were 28.5 mg/eq in the 0-30 cm layer and decreased to 20.5 mg/eq in the 60-90 cm layer. The amount of silt along the profile was 25.1-23.6%, and the amount of physical clay was 25.1-23.6%. These soils are considered to be light clay with granulometric composition according to R.H. Mammadov.
