Abstract

The computer code NACHE is designed to describe the physical and chemical behaviour of polydisperse aerosol systems. To simulate such processes in a realistic way the influence of mixtures of different electrolytes on e.g. the uptake of water has to be evaluated. The amount of water on the aerosol particles and the ion composition influence the chemical processes taking place in the droplets and the their deposition behaviour. Sample calculations with the newly developed model for mixed electrolytes are presented for the geometry of the planned large scale experiments AIDA showing the interaction between the physical and chemical processes.
