Physical activity in the daily regime of adolescents in the Czech republic Petr Reich, Ludmila Miklankova, Zdeněk Rechtik Fakulta Tělesne Kultury, Univerzita Palackeho v Olomouci, Ceska republika Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic Keywords: health, physical activity, adolescents Abstract Though today's society promotes healthy lifestyles wide range of sports , a lot of information about the prevention of social pathologies and good eating habits , we meet very often with negative effects such the inclination to sedentary life style with limited physical activity. As a group, we feel especially vulnerable children and youth . The project Health, Fitness and education in Visegrad Countries and neighboring Countries is focused on mapping and comparison of selected aspects of lifestyle and somatic characteristics of adolescents from Visegrad and other European countries (Poland, Czech Republic , Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine). The principal investigator of the project is Universytet Kazimierz Wielki in Poland. The Czech Republic participated in the project 90 probands (51 boys, 39 girls). In this part of the research are presented the results obtained in the Czech Republic: the volume and intensity of physical activity. Between girls and boys were not found significant differences in the number of days/week and the average number/days of moderate physical activity during the week. The average number of minutes/day were also among probands with different gender confirmed significant differences (p ≤ 0.04). In accordance with the results of similar research results confirm a low level of physical activity among adolescent girls. The results of the project will help not only to compare data on physical activity of adolescents in individual countries, but also to examine it in the context of the effectiveness of preventive measures in the participating countries.
