Abstract

This article presents a simulation of the photovoltaic (PV) array emulator under the effect of partial shading condition; this PV emulator is used to generate curves of two interconnection schemes (series-parallel and total cross-tied). The study is carried out using the Matlab®/Simulink simulation software, based on a 4×4 PV array, with 200W photovoltaic panels and the mathematical model of the equivalent circuit that characterizes its behavior and operation. The comparison of the output power curves of the PV array with the impact of irradiation caused by partial shading is presented, in the same way as the voltage and current generated by the PV array model.
