Abstract

Photocatalytic cycloaddition of CO2 with epoxides to produce cyclic carbonate is a hot research topic for achieving carbon neutrality. In this work, a catalyst (CoFe2O4@TPA) with bimetallic oxides doped with organic ligands was synthesized, which could efficiently fix CO2 to synthesize cyclic carbonate in solvent-free and atmospheric environment by photothermal catalysis. Various characterization results suggest that the catalyst exhibited efficient photocatalytic performance upon the addition of organic ligands (TPA). This pathway of using photocatalytic catalytic reactions under simple conditions provides a new idea for the synthesis of valuable compounds from fixed CO2.
