Abstract
We present the analytical solution of the coupled equations system that describes two-wave mixing (2WM) in photorefractive media as an adaptive beam combiner. The crystal operates in the drift regime with phase modulated weak signal beam. The complex amplitudes of the signal and pump beams at the exit of the crystal are expressed in terms of a combination of the input beam complex amplitudes. Experimental validation of our analytical solution is presented using a photorefractive Bi 12SiO 20 crystal (BSO) at λ = 0.514 μm.
