Abstract

In this study, photophysical properties and photodynamics of Coumarin 30 (C30) dye were studied in detail in reverse micelles by using spectroscopy techniques. The reverse micelle systems (RM) were created using three different surfactants: anionic, cationic, and neutral. Photophysical and rotational dynamics of C30 were maped and interpreted as function of W0 by using the fluorescence quantum yields, fluorescence lifetime values, radiation and non-radiation rate constants, anisotropy values and rotational relaxation times. We have found that C30 is an applicable probe for the assignment of microviscosity of different reverse micelle media.
