Abstract
By using the co-sensitization process, which involves combining dyes with perovskite materials, improvements in panchromatic light-harvesting and photovoltaic performance are reported for DSSC. This study aims to explore the effect of natural extract of Chaya tree spinach mixed with undoped SrTiO3 perovskite. Dyes were extracted from the leaves of Chaya tree spinach (Cnidoscolus Aconitifolius) leaves. An undoped SrTiO3 is synthesized via solid state method and mixed with TiO2 and dyes of Chaya spinach in order to fabricate solar cells. The prepared samples were characterized by structural properties by XRD and also optical properties by UV (DRS) for SrTiO3, UV-Vis and FTIR studies for the extracted dyes. The effect of the natural dye’s extracts containing chlorophyll a from Chaya tree spinach along with SrTiO3 was investigated for the performance of J-V characterization in which the cell made with SrTiO3 + natural dyes of pH maintained at 10 had shown better efficiency of about 1.691% in light with 3.4939 mA/cm2 of Jsc and 0.6023 Voc.
