Abstract

Strong photon-number squeezing in visible-spectrum light-emitting diodes operating at room temperature is reported. The squeezing level achieved was typically 0.5 dB (12%) in conventional high-brightness red-emitting devices, and increased up to 1.2 dB (25%) in a high-power truncated-inverted-pyramid (TIP) device.
