Abstract

ABSTRACT Simulated and real images from Hubble Space Telescope's Wide Field Planetary Camera I were processed by several image restoriation algorithms, and stellar photometry performed on the restored images. Results were used to evaluate photometric properties of the tested algorithms. It was found that reliable results can be obtained from such photometry, provided a combination of linear and non-linear restoration techniques is used instead of a single-restoration method.
