Abstract

The absorption, reflection, emission, and luminescence spectra of polycrystalline cadmium sulfide films have been studied at 77 deg K at 4500–5500 A. The films were prepared by sublimination of the powder in argon, hydrogen sulfide, or vacuum, followed by crystallization on a heated or unheated substrate.
