Abstract

The cross sections for the photoionization of seven-times-ionized Krypton from its ground state 4s2Se are reported as calculated in the LS coupling scheme using the R-matrix method. Configuration-interaction wave functions are used to describe the initial bound and final continuum states. Total photoionization cross sections are calculated for a wide range of photon energies from the ionization threshold up to a photon energy of 30 Ryd. In this energy region the cross sections are dominated by several series of autoionization states. Their positions and resonance widths are given. The oscillator strengths for the ns-np transitions are also calculated and compared with the observed ones wherever available.
