Abstract

The partial photoionisation cross sections (branching ratios) of atomic oxygen for leaving the O+ ion in the 4S, 2D and 2P states have been measured between 725 and 580 AA using the technique of photoelectron spectroscopy. The use of synchrotron radiation from the Daresbury 2 GeV storage ring has also allowed a study of autoionisation structure approaching the 2P limit.
