Abstract

The two-dimensional semi-Dirac model is characterized by the anisotropic energy dispersion, which is quadratic in one direction and linear along the orthogonal direction. We investigated the transport properties of the light irradiated n−p junction along the quadratic dispersion direction based on semi-Dirac materials. It is shown that the out-of-plane component of the pseudospin can be activated by the light irradiation. For the large light field, the out-of-plane component of the pseudospin is dominant, leading to the transition from the perfect normal reflection (anti-Klein tunneling) to the approximately perfect normal transmission (Klein tunneling) in the junction.
