Abstract

We present a photographic record of the Blue-gray Tanager (Thraupis episcopus) in an urban environment on the central coast of Oaxaca, Mexico. The nearest geographically known records are from the southeastern coastal plain of Guerrero, northeastern Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula. In Oaxaca, the unpublished visual records are from the coastal plain of this state and can be seen on digital platforms; however, it is necessary to publish records in order to facilitate the analysis of passive dispersion of neotropical birds and document its possible causes.
