Abstract

The spectrum of the hydrogen atom confined by a relatively large radius spherical box and Debye plasma environment is obtained by solving the Schrödinger equation by using Bernstein-polynomials (B-polynomials). Response of such confined atoms to laser field is studied using non-perturbative Floquet method. Photoexcitation and ionization are found to depend on the confining parameters, such as radius of the confining spherical box and the screening parameter of Debye plasma.
