Abstract

There are some problems about Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). Trying to resolve these problems, we performed the following experiments. In the first experiment, HpD or N-HpD were injected intravenous to the C3H mice which were transplanted with NFSa. And the strength of fluorescence in each internal organ of the mice was measured. In the group injected with N-HpD, there were stronger fluorescence in tumor tissue than those of HpD group. That means N-HpD has an ability to concentrate into tumor tissue better than that of HpD. This indicated its probability to be a new photosensitizer. In the second experiment, we studied about the effect of the intra-tumor irradiation method of PDT. With intra-tumor irradiation method, we found that the PDT effects deeper into the tumor than that with non-contact irradiation method.
