Abstract
Reactions of COS and CS 2 with OH provide important sources for atmospheric SH. It is pointed out that subsequent chemistry may lead to production of H 2S and could maintain concentrations of H 2S as high as 40 pptv in regions of the troposphere remote from biospheric sources.
