Abstract
Abstract The quantum yield of isomerization and the fluorescence lifetime of newly synthesized 3,3′-disubstituted water-soluble stilbene dendrimer trans-4 were significantly different from those of model compounds. The results indicate that not only properties of dendrimer surfaces but also substituent positions are important for dendrimer photochemistry.
