Abstract

Herein, we describe a method for immobilization of biomolecules onto polyvinyl chloride activated by 1-fluoro-2-nitro-4azidobenzene (FNAB) for a photochemical reaction. Immobilizing biomolecules onto the polyvinyl chloride surface were either very tedious to carry out or they require some specialized conditions and techniques for immobilization. Herein, we report a mild procedure for a covalent immobilization of enzymes using FNAB. HRP (Horse Radish Peroxidase) and invertase were chosen for demonstrating its efficacy onto activated polyvinyl chloride.
