Abstract

In this paper, Fe–TiO2 was deposited on the surface of carbon fiber by hydrothermal method to obtain Fe–TiO2/carbon fiber composite materials. By means of XRD and SEM, it is found that the phase structure of the grown TiO2 is rutile with the growth morphology of needle shape perpendicular to carbon fiber. Combined with XPS analysis, the adsorbed oxygen of Fe–TiO2 raised significantly with the increasing of Fe ion doping concentration, which can provide more reactive oxygen species for the photocatalytic process. Finally, the catalytic performance of Fe–TiO2 composite materials was ultimately improved.
