Abstract

AbstractThe support of powdered catalysts on mold bodies facilitates their handling and reusability. In case of photocatalytic applications, such as enhanced water purification processes, transparent supports with thin layers of the active material are desirable to obtain an optimal light efficiency. For the generation of such layers a precise control of layer thickness is crucial. Here, a multi‐step dip‐coating approach for the generation of TiO2 layers with varying thickness on glass rings is reported. Additionally, the coated glass rings were tested in the photocatalytic reduction of nitrate in aqueous solution under simulated sunlight.
