Abstract
Textile wastewaters (TW) are among the most risky wastewaters when they are discharged in the environment without any prior treatment. An ecologically sustainable development policy in textile industry has required a development of novel technologies to reduce water consumption. For this, a study is conducted to investigate the removal and mineralization of colors from a real textile industry wastewater using S2O82−/Fe2+/UV process. The obtained results showed that the decolorization and mineralization rates are 100% and 87% respectively. During the advanced oxidation technologies experiments, it was found that S2O82−/Fe2+/UV are the best treatment method for real textile wastewater.
