Abstract

Aniline is recalcitrant pollutant and its efficient and cost-effective removal is greatly needed. According to the existing methods in the laboratory, Fe3O4@SiO2@BiO1.8·0.04H2O/Ag3PO4 (FSBAP) magnetic nanocomposites were prepared and the photocatalytic properties were also evaluated with aniline as model pollutant. The experimental data suggested that the nanocomposites FSBAP could effectively degrade organic pollutants under visible light. The degradation rate of 250 mL aniline solution (10 mg/L) with 1.20 g/L FSBAP catalyst was 88.06% under visible light for 150 min. FSBAP nanocomposites showed good reusability and recyclability after five runs. In addition, scavengers trapping experiments proved that photogenerated holes (h+) played an important role in photocatalytic reaction. The possible mechanism was also proposed. The results revealed that FSBAP exhibited high reusability and stability in degrading aniline.
