Abstract
Abstract: The photocatalytic bleaching of Fast Green on zinc oxide powder has been carried out in presence of light. The photocatalytic bleaching of dye was observed spectrophotometrically. The effect of variation of different parameters like concentration of Fast Green, pH, amount of zinc oxide, and light intensity on the rate of photocatalytic bleaching was observed. A tentative mechanism for the photocatalytic bleaching of Fast Green has been proposed.
