Abstract

AbstractPolycrystalline diamonds are grown by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition techniques. The structures and morphologies are investigated by X‐ray diffraction, Raman, and atomic force microscope. The photocatalytic characterizations show that diamond has a certain degradation ability for rhodamine B, and the degradation rate of nanocrystalline diamond is faster than that of microcrystalline diamond. Diamond based photoconductor‐type photodetector with Au electrode is prepared and it shows high photoresponsivity. This research has opened up new opportunities for diamond in various fields including photocatalysis and photodetectors.
