Abstract
A major problem in the study of steroid hormone binding systems is the reversible binding of the ligand. The recent development of powerful photoaffinity labelling techniques has greatly simplified the identification and isolation of intact receptors and led to a variety of studies such as primary structure elucidation, comparison of related hormone binding systems, identification of the hormone binding site and a direct study of hormone binding at the chromosomal level.
