Abstract

A general description of the photoacoustic (PA) technique applied to characterize thermal properties of liquids is presented. The effects of different supporting substrates on measurements of thermal properties and data analysis are discussed in detail. Likewise, the use of the proposed experimental configuration for the monitoring of dynamic processes occurring in liquid solutions, such as, solvent evaporation and polymer casting from solutions is also considered.
